John Edward Boyd, Jr., 76, Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Veteran’s Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army for 34 years.He is survived by his daughter, Toni Boyd of Reseda, CA; son, Shannon Boyd of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Angel and James Geisendorff; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Alyssa Geisendorff; and one sister, Celia Mae Thompson, of Franklin, IN.Family and friends will gather Tuesday, December 5 from 9 to 11 am in the Soldiers Memorial Chapel at Fort Harrison, 5626 Lawton Loop East, Indianapolis with funeral service at 11 am. John will be laid to rest by his wife in Bethesda Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN.
